Set close by Chaolao Beach in Chanthaburi province, Smile Beach Boutique Resort offers visitors a cozy accommodation option, featuring contemporary designs that have been inspired by the simplicity of nature, as well as traditional Thai houses. Located about 60 kilometers from the town of Chanthaburi, 291 km east of Bangkok, Chaolao Beach has only recently begun to open up to tourists. As well as offering all the usual beach attractions, an improvement in the roads over recent years has led to the development of a host of trendy resorts, along with restaurants serving delicious seafood. Since it is located right at the end of this stretch of coast, Smile Beach is ideal for those in search of some peace and quiet. Superior and standard room types alike come fitted with comfy beds and seating units. Each room has its own balcony and is decorated in an informal style, which is relaxing while providing a sense of warmth. As well as offering a range of accommodation choices, Smile Beach Boutique Resort also organizes a number of adventure activities, such as snorkeling, fishing trips, kayaking, jet ski hire, jet boat rides and diving courses. Room rates at Smile Beach Boutique Resort range from 2,000-4,500 baht per night, depending on the room type and the season. The resort has 25 rooms in total. Please note that these rates are inclusive of breakfast. For further information, or to make a reservation, call Tel: +66 (0)39 388 070-1. Transport connections: Car: Chanthaburi is located about 291 km from Bangkok. Rejoin Highway 3 at Klaeng, which will take you right into Chanthaburi. Chaolao Beach is located about 60 km from downtown Chanthaburi. Take a right turn at km 301 to continue on Highway 3399. Bus: Both air-conditioned and regular (non air-con) buses depart Bangkok's Eastern Bus Terminal at Ekkamai. Regular buses leave every hour, while air-conditioned buses leave every 30 minutes.
